As tourism grows in Veneto, the region of northern Italy that includes Venice, the territory recorded in 2025 more than 22 million arrivals and more than 74 million overnight stays.
From restored palaces to private island retreats to new beach resorts, these latest openings show how Venice is expanding its offerings beyond traditional city center accommodation.
Travelers now have a wider range of options, with quieter locations and more experience-focused hotels.
Here are the main openings and reopenings to be aware of.
Orient Express Palazzo Donà Giovannelli
Inaugurated in March 2026, Orient Express Venezia is the brand’s first hotel in the city, located in the Palazzo Donà Giovannelli, a restored 15th century palace, in the Cannaregio district.
The hotel brings this historic palace back to life after centuries, with 47 rooms, suites and residences.
Original features, such as frescoes, high ceilings and decorative details, have been preserved, while being combined with updated interiors.
The gastronomic offer is under the leadership of chef Heinz Beck, three-starred in the Michelin guide, with a restaurant, a bar and lounge spaces inspired by the heritage of the Orient Express brand.
The hotel will also host cultural programs and tailor-made experiences linked to the Venetian art scene.
Airelles Palladio Venezia
Airelles Palladio Venezia is due to open in April 2026, marking the French luxury group’s first hotel in Italy.
Located on the lagoon, with views of the historic center of Venice, the property is designed to offer more space and privacy than traditional city hotels.
It will offer large suites, landscaped gardens and a strong emphasis on well-being.
This opening reflects a growing demand for quieter stays, just outside the busiest areas of Venice, while still maintaining easy access to the city.
Cavallino Bianco Caorle – Venice
Scheduled to open in May 2026, Cavallino Bianco Caorle – Venezia is a five-star resort designed especially for families. It is located in the coastal town of Caorle, about an hour from Venice on the Adriatic Sea.
The resort will have 101 suites and direct access to a Blue Flag beach. Its equipment is designed for both children and adults.
Younger guests will have access to Lino Land, with activities, workshops and sports, while adults can enjoy a wellness center with swimming pools, saunas and an adults-only rooftop spa with an infinity pool with sea views.
Three restaurants will complete the offer, including dining areas dedicated to families and children.
Danieli, A Four Seasons Hotel
The Danieli Hotel is due to reopen in mid-2026 under the Four Seasons brand, after an extensive renovation.
This historic property, located near St. Mark’s Square, is known for its Gothic architecture and lagoon views.
The renovation will modernize the rooms and public spaces while preserving its original character.
This reopening marks the arrival of Four Seasons in one of the most emblematic hotel addresses in Venice, with new dining concepts and improved services.
