During the Forum In Cyber event, taking place in Lille from March 31st to April 2nd, the Roubaisian company OVHcloud announced the acceleration of its activities in Defence in Europe. This initiative comes in a context of increased digitalization of armies and persistent dependence on non-European technologies. European armies are facing the digitalization of operations, real-time processing, system interconnection, and the arrival of AI. Data and cybersecurity need to be strengthened.
Already present in the Defence sector, the company is expanding its solutions by leveraging its internal expertise and deploying dedicated teams in each country, recruiting profiles from the armed forces and the Defence industry. These profiles will need to design tailored architectures, support infrastructure modernization, integrate AI capabilities (fine-tuning, agentics), and meet specific requirements for each environment.
“Defence now relies on cloud, data, and AI. Europe can no longer afford to depend on non-European technologies: it must have efficient and sovereign alternatives. This is precisely what we are building at OVHcloud. After France, we will offer European-scale cloud and AI solutions, along with expertise to support the transformation of armies and strengthen our strategic autonomy,” said Octave Klaba, CEO of OVHcloud.
