On the occasion of the Forum In Cyber, happening in Lille from March 31 to April 2, the company OVHcloud based in Roubaix, announces the acceleration of its activities in Defense in Europe. This momentum aligns with a context of accelerated digitalization of armies and persistent dependence on non-European technologies. European armies are facing digitization of operations, real-time processing, system interconnection, and the arrival of AI. Data and cybersecurity must be strengthened.
Already present in the defense sector, the company is expanding its solutions by utilizing its internal skills and deploying dedicated teams in each country, recruiting profiles from the armed forces and defense industry. These profiles will need to design suitable architectures, support infrastructure modernization, integrate AI capabilities (fine-tuning, agentics), and meet the specific requirements of each environment.
“Defense now relies on the cloud, data, and AI. Europe can no longer afford to rely on non-European technologies: it must have efficient and sovereign alternatives. This is precisely what we are building at OVHcloud. After France, we will offer cloud and AI solutions at the European level, along with expertise to support the transformation of armies and strengthen our strategic autonomy,” explained Octave Klaba, CEO of OVHcloud.
