WisdomTree launches new defence ETFs

WisdomTree has announced the launch of two new UCITS ETFs dedicated to the defence sector: the WisdomTree Asia Defence UCITS ETF (WDAF) and the WisdomTree Global Defence UCITS ETF (WDGF).

These funds aim to replicate, net of dividends reinvested, before fees and commissions, the performance of the WisdomTree Asia Defence UCITS Index and the WisdomTree Global Defence UCITS Index.

The WisdomTree Asia Defence UCITS ETF has a total expense ratio of 0.50%, compared to 0.40% for the WisdomTree Global Defence UCITS ETF.

Both ETFs are listed today on Xetra, Borsa Italiana, Euronext Paris, and SIX Swiss Exchange. A listing on the London Stock Exchange is scheduled for April 1, 2026.

With these launches, WisdomTree expands its range of ETFs exposed to the defence theme, as it increasingly emerges as a structural investment trend, supported by the budget priorities of states in terms of national security, military preparedness, and industrial capacities.

The two new products follow the launch of the WisdomTree Europe Defence UCITS ETF (WDEF) in March 2025. According to WisdomTree, this fund was the fastest ETF in Europe to reach three billion dollars in assets under management. It now has $5.258 billion in assets under management and has recorded $1.3 billion in net flows since the beginning of 2026.
