A 15-year-old student died after shooting a teacher and injuring her at a high school in Texas on Monday, according to authorities in the southern state of the United States. “A teacher was shot and transported to San Antonio hospital. At this time, we do not have information on her condition. The student involved, a 15-year-old, was declared dead on the scene,” the Comal County sheriff’s office said on its Facebook page.
“The student shot the teacher, then we believe he turned the gun on himself,” said Sheriff Mark Reynolds during a press conference.
According to him, the situation was quickly under control. The school where the shooting took place was quickly locked down and the students were transferred to a nearby school where their parents could pick them up.
