Before diving into April with a slew of new releases, the Xbox Game Pass is updated one last time with the arrival of two new titles, including a major hit.
As a new month officially draws to a close today, and with it a particularly busy first quarter at all levels for the video game industry. Between big news, major releases, and subscription service updates, this early 2026 has indeed been more than eventful, especially from the Xbox side and its Xbox Game Pass. Despite recent operational changes, Redmond’s firm stays on course and continues to do everything possible to attract as many subscribers as possible.
Resident Evil 7 Biohazard arrives in the Xbox Game Pass
Just take a look at the newly announced offerings for April, which include Clair Obscur Expedition 33, Kiln, Replaced, and Aphelion, to understand. But before that, the Xbox Game Pass still has a final surprise in store for players. Yes, to end March on a high note, not one but two new games have arrived in the service since yesterday, including one of the biggest horror hits of recent years: Resident Evil 7 Biohazard.
A real find for those who have not yet had the opportunity to discover this gem signed by Capcom and who would like to continue the adventure after spending some time with Grace Ashcroft and Leon S. Kennedy in Resident Evil Requiem. Especially since Resident Evil 7 Biohazard is available in all Xbox Game Pass formulas, namely Ultimate, Premium, and PC, allowing you to enjoy it on consoles, PC, and via the cloud. An opportunity not to be missed.
For survival enthusiasts, The Long Dark is also available
Horror is not your favorite genre? In that case, the survival game The Long Dark, created by Hinterland Studio, will be more to your liking. Arriving in the Xbox service yesterday, this title puts you in the shoes of Will Mackenzie, a bush pilot who crashed in the wild and icy wilderness of Canada. From then on, it’s up to you to explore the surroundings to find out how to survive in these harsh environments, whether by gathering resources, tools, or any other useful element.
“Here, no zombies” the game’s description ironically points out. “Just you, the cold, and whatever Mother Nature can throw at you”. But wouldn’t that be even more terrifying than Resident Evil 7 Biohazard? You be the judge. Like the latter, The Long Dark is available in all Xbox Game Pass formulas and playable on consoles, PC, and via the cloud. A fitting conclusion to March, especially after the addition of titles like Disco Elysium, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, and Absolum.
