Education: Unions maintain pressure in Digne-les

Five days after a strong mobilisation of unions, students, and teachers gathered in front of these same premises, “the idea being to make a statement once again“.

Less numerous, but still determined

Among the present organizations were FSU 04, Solidaires, CFDT, and a delegation from Force Ouvrière, who were received. The only significant difference: the number of participants. There were nearly 120 the previous week, compared to around fifty this time. In a friendly atmosphere, the protesters organized a picnic, accompanied by music, at the foot of the premises.

On the core issue, there is no change. The unions still denounce a “school map lacking ambition, insufficient endowment, job and hour cuts“.

In addition to the mobilisation, a “dead school” operation was also underway at Alexandra David-Néel High School in Digne-les-Bains, where some teachers and parents distributed leaflets during the morning.

As a reminder, a new meeting on schools, with the academic director of national education services, Véronique Blua, is scheduled for Thursday, April 2, 2026. No mobilisation has been announced for that day so far.
