Ayatollah Khamenei mourns Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps navy commander
The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, on Monday offered his condolences to the commander of the Navy of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Admiral Ali Reza Tangsiri, whose martyrdom was announced yesterday.
In a condolence message published by Iran’s Tasnim news agency, Ayatollah Khamenei described Tangsiri as “a soldier of Iran and a guardian of Islam; the courageous son of Tangestan.”
He said: “The zealous and courageous commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy, Admiral Ali Reza Tangsiri, was honored, after years of struggle, with the title of martyr. HAS”
He added: “The martyrdom of this brave son of Tangestan, Iranian soldier and guardian of Islam in the epic of the Third War imposed, is a great cause of honor for the courageous people of Bushehr, the youth of the South, the armed forces of the Islamic Republic and the Iranian people, who have always been the protectors of independence and maritime borders of Iran, particularly the Persian Gulf. They will, with the grace of God, pursue the path of naval power and resistance with even greater determination. HAS”
He continued his message: “I extend my condolences and congratulations to the family of this valiant commander, his comrades and the commanders of the Navy and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. HAS”
Earlier in the day, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced the martyrdom of its naval commander, Admiral Ali Reza Tangsiri.
On February 28, the United States and the Zionist entity launched a new aggression against Iran, causing the deaths of hundreds of civilians and targeting schools, hospitals, mosques and other properties belonging to the Iranian people.
In response to this aggression, Iran launched Operation True Promise 4 against the Zionist entity and American bases in the region.
