The Niles Arts & Culture Advisory Council and Niles Historical Society are collaborating to celebrate America’s upcoming 250th anniversary with a show at the NVision Gallery. The idea is to use photos and historical items as inspiration for art pieces. The show will include works by both amateurs and professionals, with items displayed in the gallery becoming part of the museum’s permanent collection. The opening reception is scheduled for Thursday, July 9, with a deadline for submissions by Monday, May 11. The event marks the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and will feature various anniversary events throughout the Northwest suburbs.
