The Indonesian Ministry of Defense has selected Pilatus for the acquisition of two types of aircraft. The first of the two orders has been confirmed with the purchase of PC-24 aircraft.
PC-24 for Indonesian Defense Ministry The Indonesian Ministry of Defense has chosen the PC-24 to support the training of transport pilots in the Indonesian Air Force, as well as for air transport and liaison missions. A contract for twelve PC-24 aircraft has been signed with PT E-System Solutions Indonesia, the defense ministry’s approved supplier. This contract includes an option for additional aircraft, ground support equipment, tools, spare parts, training, and technical support from Pilatus headquarters in Stans, Switzerland.
The PC-24 is designed for exceptional operational flexibility and is certified for single-pilot operation. It features a standard cargo door and is approved for unpaved runways, making it ideal for various government missions including IFR pilot training, transport, and liaison missions. Pilatus will provide integrated support to ensure maximum fleet availability and efficient maintenance.
The selection of the PC-24 by the Indonesian Ministry of Defense strengthens Pilatus’s presence in Southeast Asia. Its versatility, ability to take off and land on short runways, and operate from unpaved airstrips make it well-suited for the remote regions of the Indonesian archipelago.

Next Step: the PC-21 In addition, a letter of intent has been signed for the supply of 24 PC-21 trainer aircraft, including ground training equipment, spare parts, ground support equipment, and technical assistance.
