To help brain research, Rotary clubs in France mobilize every year to organize an exceptional cinema session. Every year, a premiere film, with approximately 450 theaters involved and tickets offered by the clubs, ensures a successful event.

Since 2005, the year of the first edition, under the name “Dreams and Cinema,” over 17 million euros have been raised and have financed more than a hundred projects, including 13 in the Occitanie region (for an amount over 2 million euros).

The session on March 27, particularly anticipated, with the screening of the film Compostelle, was fully booked, forcing the organizers to turn away attendees, including those who had purchased vouchers from Rotarians.

The members of the organizing clubs ask those affected and the public unable to attend to show understanding for this unfortunate setback. “Such a turnout is exceptional for this fundraising effort. Safety rules apply to everyone without exception, and we hope there will be no hard feelings,” explained a Rotarian.
