The cinema enthusiast’s agenda: seven events not to be missed the week of March 30

The Cinémathèque honors Pier Paolo Pasolini with the screening of “Salò or the 120 Days of Sodom.” on April 1st.

Paris is a feast for cinephiles. To help you choose, we are launching this Cinephile Agenda with carefully selected outings for the seven days to come. Bon appétit!

The Festival: Taiwanese Film Festival. A dozen recent and mostly unreleased films from the young generation of Taiwanese filmmakers including “Before the Bright Day,” by Shih-Han Tsao, will be showcased.

From April 1st to April 10th, 2026, at La Filmothèque du Quartier latin, Paris 5.

The Ciné-Club: “Watching the world and society from a scientific perspective,” promises the Epsiloon Ciné-Club, hosted by journalist Perrine Quennesson, featuring the excellent “Proxima” by Alice Winocour, in the presence of astronaut Claudie Haigneré.

On Tuesday, March 31st, at 5 Caumartin, Paris 9.

The Classic: One must not miss the screening of the radical and controversial film “Salò or the 120 Days of Sodom,” by Pier Paolo Pasolini (1975), presented by Pasolini expert Hervé Joubert-Laurencin.

On Wednesday, April 1st, at the French Cinémathèque, Paris 12.

The Exhibition: Don’t miss “Le chantier invisible: Dans les coulisses des films de Jean-Jacques Annaud (The Invisible Site: Behind the Scenes of Jean-Jacques Annaud’s Films)” until October 31st, at Fondation Jérôme Seydoux-Pathé, Paris 13.

The Premiere: Claire Denis returns with a new French-Senegalese film adapted from Bernard-Marie Koltès. “Le Cri des Gardes” premieres on April 8, with tickets available one week prior.

On Monday, April 6, at UGC Ciné-Cité Les Halles, Paris 1.

The Cinema Walk: Join Juliette Dubois for “Le Paris d’Agnès Varda,” exploring the Montparnasse district around rue Daguerre. Booking required (€17).

On Saturday, April 4, at Paris 14.

The Cinema Course: “From Jane Austen to ‘Bridgerton’: the period drama in a pop sauce,” a conference by author Jennifer Padjemi as part of the “Jane Austen Forever” cycle. Reservation recommended (€5).

On Friday, April 3, at Forum des images, 1er.
