Since arriving in the Star Academy, Jonathan Jenvrin has quickly emerged as one of the most memorable teachers of the season. Succeeding well-established figures, he has managed to find his place thanks to a boundless energy and keen attention to detail. His ambitious choreographies and attention to detail have made an impact on both students and viewers. Highly invested, he never hesitated to push the academy members to their limits to bring out the best in them. His commitment extended beyond the show, as he took over the artistic direction of the tour, solidifying his central role in this new generation of the program.
Where does Jonathan Jenvrin stand in his love life?
But when it comes to discussing emotions, the dancer’s tone completely changes. During an interview on Gossip Room on Sunday, March 29, 2026, he was quite candid about his current situation, explaining that he has always found it difficult to balance his professional and love life. “There are so many factors at play, it has always been complicated for me,” he admits. According to him, the issue may not necessarily lie with him, but with the pace of life he leads: “It’s not necessarily me, it’s more difficult for the other person to have someone who is unattainable, who has no time, who doesn’t respond.” Currently single, he prefers not to rush things and fully embraces this period of his life. With a touch of self-deprecation, he jokes: “Because, right now, there’s not much out there.” And when asked about his greatest love story, he surprises by simply answering: “Honestly, it may sound very corny, but my greatest love story is dance,” as if it were obvious for someone living life to the fullest.
He reveals rare insights about his mother
Beneath this passion and discipline lies a very strong personal story, particularly connected to his mother, whom he talks about with a lot of emotion. Affected by polio since childhood, she has never been able to walk, but has always shown incredible strength. “My mother has always been my light, my reason for living. She made me so strong because she has never walked since the age of 5! She met my father in a wheelchair, she had me in a wheelchair and she never complained,” he confides. This resilience deeply impacted the choreographer, to the point of becoming a life model: “She has always been a fighter so for me, that has always been the best example.” Even today, he draws an essential lesson from this journey: “When you see a woman like her succeeding in having children, a husband, who never complains, you put a lot of things into perspective.” It’s his way of staying grounded, despite his success.
