A solid quartet. As Céline Dion prepares to make her comeback on stage in Paris, her three children are never far away. In the summer of 2024, René-Charles Angélil was, of course, in the French capital to watch his mother interpret “L’Hymne à l’amour” during the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games.

René-Charles Angélil, the pillar

The eldest son of Céline Dion and René Angélil was born on January 25, 2001. After his birth, the Quebec singer explained: “When I held René-Charles in my arms, I no longer wanted to sing.” But the long-haired young boy is now a young adult whom his mother can rely on.

At his father’s funeral, René-Charles Angélil spoke and delivered a moving speech: “Fifteen years is not a lot of time for a son to get to know his father. We got closer and closer as time passed. Today, you leave me with enough good memories to share with my brothers. When they grow up, without you by our side, I will make sure to pass on to them what you taught me. You are a difficult role model to follow, but with your help, everything will be fine.” A true pillar for Céline Dion.

Passionate about poker, golf, and ice hockey, René-Charles Angélil also thrives in the world of music. In 2001, he released his first EP consisting of five tracks under the pseudonym Bigtip.

Nelson and Eddy, the discreet ones

The twins, Nelson and Eddy, were born on October 23, 2010. Their names were chosen as a tribute to Nelson Mandela and the composer Eddy Marnay, who had a long work history with Céline Dion. “A double blessing,” according to the singer who fought to get pregnant again.

The two boys are growing up away from prying eyes. Educated at home since their early childhood, little is known about René-Charles’ younger brothers. They were only six years old when their father took his last breath, and the heartbreaking images of their presence at the funeral had circled the globe. Now teenagers, they occasionally appear on social media, by their mother’s side.

Like in January 2025 when the whole family posed to pay tribute to René Angélil, who had passed away nine years ago at that time. Will they also follow their mother for her return to Paris.
