Israel Boycott at McGill: Court Refuses to Silence Students

The Superior Court has refused to grant a temporary injunction to a student from the Faculty of Law who was trying to block the implementation of a student referendum advocating the academic boycott of Israeli institutions.

“Everyone is in favor of freedom of expression. It is often praised, but some people believe that they are free to say what they want, but if someone responds, it is considered an outrage,” said Justice Luc Morin, quoting Winston Churchill’s speech from 1943.
