Saada local radio closed today, in the grounds of the Imam Al-Hadi (p) mosque in the city of Saada, the seventh season of the “Martyr of the Koran” competition dedicated to the memorization and recitation of the Holy Koran for the sons of martyrs.
During the closing, the governor of Saada, Mohammed Jaber Awadcongratulated the winners among the sons of martyrs for their excellence in mastering the recitation (Tajwid) and obtaining first places.
He urged young people to take more interest in the Quran and to enroll in summer schools, registration for which will begin on 7 Shawwal.
Governor Awad praised the efforts of Radio Saada in organizing this annual competition for the seventh consecutive year, specifying that the event is placed under the sponsorship of leader Sayyid Abdulmalik Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi.
For his part, the radio director, Abdul Razzaq Al-Razihiexplained that this competition meets the directives of the management to take care of the sons of martyrs and encourage them to memorize the Quran, in tribute to their fathers who sacrificed their lives for the cause of God.
At the end of the competition, in the presence of the provincial undersecretary for humanitarian affairs, Mohamed Midwifeand the commander of the military police, Brigadier General Youssef Al-Hatfi :
- I like it at the premiere was awarded to the youth Abdullah Al-Azraqwho received an assault rifle (locally manufactured automatic rifle) offered by Radio Saada and the local authorities, in addition to a prize in kind.
