Karin Paquin, a science teacher at St. John’s Catholic School in Brunswick, Maine, has been selected to participate in the weeklong LiftOff Summer Institute in Houston. The program, scheduled for late June, will provide Paquin with an opportunity to learn from NASA scientists and engineers about space science, technology, and engineering. The theme of this year’s program is “Moon to Mars: A New Era of Discovery,” aligning with the curriculum Paquin has been teaching in her classroom, including NASA’s Artemis II mission to the moon. She hopes to bring back new labs and activities for her students and facilitate interactions with scientists through virtual platforms.
