The management of Al-Nassr club has made an important decision to strengthen the goalkeeper position before continuing the team’s journey in the Asian Champions League for the current season.
The club officials have decided to submit an official request to the Asian Football Confederation to include the young goalkeeper Abdul Rahman Al-Otaibi on the team’s continental list.
This decision came after goalkeeper Mubarak Al-Buainain suffered a serious injury with a torn ACL, in addition to the absence of Raghad Al-Najjar, which prompted the management to quickly seek a replacement.
Al-Nassr management considers registering Al-Otaibi as an appropriate solution to fill the void in this position, especially with the team’s need to secure the goal during the decisive phase.
Currently, Abdul Rahman Al-Otaibi is participating with the club’s youth team in the Jawi Elite League competitions, where he has delivered outstanding performances that have caught the club’s attention.
Al-Nassr is gearing up for an intense match against Al-Wasl from the UAE in the quarter-finals of the tournament, scheduled for April 19.
The team’s supporters hope that this decision will contribute to strengthening the defensive stability and continuing the path towards competing for the continental title.
