On the occasion of the Fostering the Future Together summit, the First Lady of the United States explained how a humanoid robot could provide personalized education to children and thus enable them to lead a more balanced lifestyle.

Melania Trump believes that the future of learning will involve artificial intelligence. This is what the First Lady of the United States hinted at during the Fostering the Future Together summit, an event for which she invited 45 of her counterparts, including Brigitte Macron, to the White House. The aim of this initiative: to make advanced technologies such as AI accessible to all countries to help children “learn, grow, and succeed,” as stated by the government in a press release.

Melania Trump believes that AI will allow for personalized learning for young people, who would no longer need to travel to meet a human teacher and other students.

“Imagine a humanoid educator named ‘Plato.’ Access to classical studies is now instantaneous: literature, science, art, philosophy, mathematics, and history – all the intellectual heritage of humanity is available from your home,” she envisioned in her speech.

Students would have a humanoid robot as a teacher, tailored to their needs and always available to help them. It would adapt in real-time to their pace of work, their knowledge, and even their emotional state, according to the First Lady of the United States.

Plato would also help them “develop a sharper critical mind and more autonomous reasoning,” added the First Lady who made a striking entrance with the latest humanoid robot from American startup Figure.

This personalized education would even help children lead a more balanced lifestyle, as they would have more time to spend with friends, extracurricular activities, or sports.

But Melania Trump wants children to be educated by artificial intelligence for a reason. Like her husband, she considers this technology revolutionary, comparing it to the advent of electricity and the birth of the internet.

“We are at a crucial turning point thanks to artificial intelligence – the age of imagination (…) This technology could disrupt the current world order and redefine power dynamics. Your children must be prepared to thrive in this context,” proclaimed the First Lady.

While she calls on her counterparts to help young people acquire these skills, she especially wants those in the United States to be the first. “We have an obligation to ensure that our children become the most technologically competent and educated generation in the world. In doing so, the United States will secure its long-term economic supremacy,” Melania Trump insisted, addressing “America.” This supremacy, according to her, will allow her country to control intellectual property, which she considers “the most valuable asset of the future.”
