On the stock market, the loss of a large part of the oil assets (transferred to Frontline) led to a rapid drop in the price to a range of 8-10 dollars. After a disappointing 2025 exercise from a stock market perspective, the trend has become much more positive since the beginning of January. The consensus remains very favorable on the group, with 8 out of 10 recommendations being positive and an average target of 16 dollars which has increased significantly since the announcement of excellent fourth quarter 2025 figures. At KBC Securities, the analyst had actually raised his target by over 30% citing favorable trends for bulk and crude oil transportation rates, the increase in the order book and the rapid fleet renewal accompanied by gains from the sale of the tanker fleet which allow for a rapid reduction of debt.

The group will announce its annual results on Tuesday, March 31. While this announcement is expected to contain few surprises, attention should be paid to any comments from management regarding disruptions in the oil delivery market in the coming months.

The group confirmed its position as the world’s leading producer of electric cars, with exports exceeding one million vehicles in 2025. The market also appreciated the ambitious goals for 2026.
