CahorSauzet was completely outplayed in this game between 6th-placed CSB and 4th-placed Ouest Toulousain Basket.

The suspense lasted only seven minutes (13/14). Despite an initial 5-0 lead by CSB, Toulousain players were much more aggressive defensively and offensively from the start. Diakhat held the attack together, but he was on his own!

Thanks to Diakhat’s three-pointers (six in total), CSB still looked competitive at 27-33 in the 13th minute. However, Castanier’s men failed to defend and conceded three-pointers on every Ouest Toulousain Basket attack. The Lotois were outperformed in all aspects of the game and trailed by twenty points at halftime (39-59).

CSB wins only one quarter

In the third quarter, Diakhat was the only shining star for CSB (scoring 21 points on Saturday night). The team was too frail defensively to mount a comeback, even though they won the third quarter 22-17 (the only quarter they won in the match).

In the fourth and final quarter, every time CSB had a good attack, their defensive inconsistency allowed the visitors to score three-pointers or convert an ‘and one’ play.

Ouest Toulousain Basket secured a 20-point victory (97-77) against a CSB side that still struggles to beat a team from the Top 5 this season. With the results of the evening, they remain in sixth place.

In the curtain-raiser, in Regional 3, CahorSauzet 2 secured their eleventh consecutive victory and maintained their position as leaders in their promotion group after defeating Vaquiers-Bouloc (71-58).
