President Bola Tinubu has praised award-winning investigative journalist, Babajide Kolade-Otitoju (BKO), on his 60th birthday. Babajide, who celebrated his 60th birthday on March 28, was recognized for his citizen-oriented journalism, professionalism, integrity, courage, and commitment to speaking truth to power. The commendation was issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, on Saturday.

Otitoju, a native of Ekirin Adde in Kogi State, has extensive experience in both print and electronic media. He began his career at the Democrat newspaper in Kaduna in 1991 before joining TheNews Group in 1993 as a state correspondent in Kano. Over the years, Otitoju has made a name for himself as an editor and influential figure in the media industry.

President Tinubu described Babajide Otitoju as a journalist of great integrity and influence, noting his fearless approach to speaking truth to power. Tinubu also commended Otitoju’s wide-ranging experience and knowledge across various disciplines, sectors, regions, and cultures.
