Joanna impresses Lara Fabian in “The Voice” eighteen years after her Star Academy semi-final
In “The Voice,” Joanna impressed Lara Fabian eighteen years after her semi-final in Star Academy. “It’s not the Joanna from Star Ac’ who presents herself, that one is stored in a nice trunk inside my brain,” she said. Despite her previous appearance in the castle, the singer returned to a singing competition. Here she is in The Voice, where she managed to charm the jury and can dream of a similar journey.
In 2018, Joanna reached the semi-finals of the season won by Mickels Réa. This time, she will continue the adventure in Lara Fabian’s team. Her blind audition aired on Saturday, March 28 on TF1 was a unanimous success.
“It was perfect, it was monumental,” Florent Pagny exclaimed after the interpretation of “Sur un prélude de Bach” by Mauranne. He would have liked to have this talent in his team and had done everything possible by blocking Lara Fabian.
This last one, moved by Joanna, even proposed to join her for a duet during her tour on her song “Tu es mon autre”. The two singers then shared a moment on The Voice stage. It was too much for Florent Pagny, who, faced with such complicity, proposed to “suspend” the blockade of Lara Fabian.
So Joanna is launched into the adventure and back on the stage. “I evolved in the music world until 2014. Then, there were ups and downs in this journey. (…) My brain twisted and I threw everything away, even the music. Everything crashed down. It was really hard to pick myself up,” confessed the singer during the evening. “Doing The Voice now is the right time because I feel complete. It’s someone new, someone that no one has really seen. It’s the moment for me to show who I have become,” she continued. We will have the opportunity to see her again during the live shows in a few weeks.
