Surfing Australia and the country’s best cold beer VB are brewing up a storm for Australian surfers with the chance to win the trip of a lifetime with three mates to Fiji.
Australia’s 2.5 million recreational surfers are in the running for the VB Surf Shout of the Month and VB Surf Shout of the Year. Surfing Australia affiliated boardriding clubs are also eligible to join the official VB Boardriders Club with some great benefits.
The VB Surf Shout of the Month is an online competition through www.surfingaustralia.com/vb where surfers simply have to tell in 25 words or less their best surf trip moment and provide an image. Each monthly winner will receive a Nikon digital camera, five cartons of VB and a co-branded VB and Globe cruiser skateboard.
They will also go in the running for the VB Surf Shout of the Year to win the surfing trip of a lifetime with three mates to Tavarua Island Resort in Fiji, along with four Nikon digital cameras and one surf kit including a surfboard, fins, legrope and boardbag.
Surfing Australia affiliated boardriding clubs (within NSW, VIC, WA and TAS) are also welcome to join the official VB Boardriders Club, with each new club receiving a VB club pack including a VB BBQ (RRP $299), five cartons of VB, plus go in the running for the VB Boardriders Club of the Month and the VB Boardriders Club of the Year.
Each monthly winner will receive $500 worth of VB gear including five cartons of VB. The big winner for Club of the Year will receive $1000 cash, 10 cartons of VB and a VB Vending Machine. The winner will be announced on 30th November, 2012.
Surfing Australia CEO Andrew Stark said the partnership with VB was an enormous boost for the surfing community.
“Our partnership is aimed at providing benefits for clubs and also reaching recreational surfers Australia wide,” Stark said.
“More than 100 clubs became part of the VB Boardriders Club program last year, while we’re expecting some fabulous entries for the VB Surf Shout of the Month with such a tremendous prize for one lucky surfer and three mates to win a trip to Tavarua Island Resort and the pumping waves in Fiji.”
VB Senior Brand Manager Craig Maclean said the company was proud to again be involved in such a partnership with Surfing Australia.
“Surfing is such an iconic Australian pass time and we are very proud to have Australia’s most iconic beer brand associated with it,” Maclean said.
“We believe for decades now surfers believe there is no better way to quench a thirst earned surfing than with an ice cold VB.”
The winners of the VB Boardriders Club of the Year and the VB Surf Shout of the Year will be announced on 30th November, 2012.
