Venue: St Leonards Primary School in Murradoc Road

The Christmas spirit is coming to the picturesque beach resort of St Leonards this year courtesy of the Salvation Army.

The town’s annual Carols by Candlelight concert will be held at the St Leonards Primary School in Murradoc Road on Sunday 12th December from 5pm.

The four hour event will feature a host of attractions and musical performers, with the stage program commencing at 7pm.

Topping the bill is the 25 piece Geelong West Brass Band, the current B-grade state champion and the popular local ensemble Bellarine Community Choir.

Local primary students will also perform as will a number of live bands, including St Leonards rock outfit The Fabulous Backbeat.

The Salvation Army band will round out the list of those contributing to this special Christmas celebration.

For the younger set there will be jumping castles, a petting zoo, pony rides and a special appearance by none other than Santa.

There will also be trading stalls including a Salvo Op Shop, a sausage sizzle and refreshments.

Those wishing to herald in the Christmas season in a friendly and strictly drug and alcohol free environment are most welcome to attend.

The Salvos advise you bring our own rug and picnic basket and simply enjoy the evening.
